Meet Delia

Delia Marrero

Senior Consultant

For over two decades, Delia Marrero has worked in the nonprofit sector and has been a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley. Over the course of her career, she has worked in roles ranging from direct services and community organizing to operations and executive management. Having worked at different levels of an organization, she understands both the day-to-day work that keeps it running and the larger decisions that shape its direction.

Her experience includes guiding organizational change and conducting community-based research that centers community voice. She understands the importance of listening to the people an organization serves and considering constituent experiences balanced with the administrative realities of an organization.

As a young mother living in poverty, Delia had to learn how to navigate social service systems, find resources, and advocate for herself. Those experiences gave her a firsthand understanding of how difficult it can be to access support, even when services exist. Her personal and professional experience informs the perspective she brings to her work.

A bilingual English and Spanish speaker, Delia has deep ties to the Lehigh Valley and an understanding of the communities that call it home. She earned her GED before attending Northampton Community College, where she completed an associate degree in Paralegal Studies. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Muhlenberg College, with minors in Political Science and History.
